SAA澳大(dà)利亞國際标準公司 (Standards Australia International Limited) 是澳大(dà)利亞唯一(yī)的标準認證機構。 該機構于1922 年成立，當時名稱爲澳大(dà)利亞聯邦工(gōng)程标準協會， 1929 年更名爲澳大(dà)利亞标準協會。随着業務的不斷發展， 1990 年又(yòu)增加了質量認證服務有限公司 (Quality Assurance Services Pty Ltd) 。1999 年，該機構徹底放(fàng)棄了協會性質，以公司形式注冊至今。
無論是進口或是在澳當地組裝的電器産品，在進入澳大(dà)利亞市場銷售前，首先要通過澳大(dà)利亞國際标準公司的認證。不同電器産品要做不同的産品質量認證。
所有電器産品均要做安全認證(SAA）。檢驗機構通過對電器的破壞性試驗，檢查電器的安全可靠性，比如在高溫情況下(xià)，不間斷地超負荷使用電器，檢查電器的安全性能。對洗衣機的外(wài)表要進行漏水試驗，檢查是否漏電。對電器的插座進行非正常使用，看是否有不安全隐患等等。
進入澳大(dà)利亞市場的電器産品須符合當地的安全法規，即業界經常面對的SAA認證。由于澳大(dà)利亞和新西蘭兩國的互認協議，所有取得澳大(dà)利亞認證的産品，均可順利地進入新西蘭市場銷售。
